Tim Jones, director of marketing, communications & sustainability at DPD, is confirmed to be speaking at Logistics Manager’s Industrial & Logistics Property Conference on 15 May 2024 in London.
With DPD on a mission to be net zero by 2040, as validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Jones will present DPD’s vision to be the UK’s most sustainable delivery company.
During the session, he will outline DPD’s approach to making fleet and buildings greener and where the company is going next. Delegates will hear about fleet development and sustainable operations, as well as how DPD plans to meet the power requirement of an electric vehicle (EV) fleet and how that will be managed within its depots.
Tim Jones joined DPD in 2005 as director of marketing and in June 2021, he took on the additional responsibility of leading DPD’s sustainability programme and team, becoming DPD’s director of marketing, communications & sustainability. He and his marketing team are responsible for the company’s marketing strategy, brand, corporate identity, employee communications, media relations, political affairs and event management.
In the pursuit of its net zero target, the company has already added 3,600 all-electric vehicles to its delivery fleet and 95% of its HGVs now run on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO).
Logistics Manager’s innovative Industrial & Logistics Property Conference will show industrial and logistics property occupiers how to leverage their properties to help with their business, operational, environmental, social and governance strategies.
Every business – including those in the distribution and logistics sectors – can benefit from matching its property strategy to its business goals. It is becoming increasingly important to create properties that are productive, well-located, good places to work in, sustainable and that work in harmony with the wider stakeholder communities.
The industrial and logistics property sector is the fastest growing sector in commercial property, offering a huge untapped opportunity. Those who attend the conference will discover the latest industrial and logistics property trends and insights.
On top of hearing from industry-leading experts, there will also be opportunity for delegates to expand their business network during dedicated networking breaks.
