Meet the judges of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2024: healthcare and pharmaceutical spotlight

Following the release of the shortlist for the 2024 edition of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards, Logistics Manager is providing a look behind the curtain at some of the industry experts that will be deliberating shortlisted entries for the 2024 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

This piece will put a spotlight on some of the judges with extensive experience of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Check out the first part of this series, focusing on experts in the food and drink sector, and the second, focusing on experts in the retail sector.

The first judge of the the 2024 Supply Chain Excellence Awards in today’s spotlight is Pavanjit Devsi, chief procurement and commercial officer at North East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Devsi has worked at North East London NHS Foundation Trust for over 12 years, having previously worked in supply chain and procurement roles at Veolia Water and the London Borough of Havering.

Also judging the 2024 awards entries is Richard Hunt CBE, chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Until recently, Hunt was chairman of The London Ambulance Service, a role he held for seven years. His earlier career in the private sector was focused on senior transport and logistics roles in aviation, brewing and the oil industry, as well as the third-party logistics sector at a time of rapid development of a solutions focus.

He was UK and international president of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and has held various non-exec director roles in both the public and private sectors including the UK Highways Agency. In 2004, he was appointed CBE for services to transport and logistics.

The final expert judge in the spotlight today is Ekaterina Kiyanenko, global head of logistics procurement at GSK.

With over 19 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and procurement, Kiyanenko is passionate about diversity and inclusion, creating an environment where people feel empowered to be their best selves and to create strong partnerships across business.

Before joining GSK, she was head of global logistics, CapEx and MRO procurement at pladis. Prior to pladis, Kiyanenko worked at British American Tobacco for 14 years where she held various roles at global, regional and local levels.
