UPS introduces Saturday standard delivery in eight European countries

Tóm tắt nội dung

Parcel delivery company UPS has announced that it is expanding its standard delivery service to Saturdays in eight European countries: the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland and Spain.

Saturday deliveries will now be available in these countries ‘without an additional Saturday surcharge’.

UPS notes that nearly two-thirds of global shoppers anticipate receiving their items within 24 hours of ordering, so expects that this new service will give businesses a ‘competitive advantage’, allowing customers to reach over 130 million households across the aforementioned markets in Europe.

It adds that ‘the service will also tap into nearly 40,000 UPS Access Point locations such as neighbourhood corner shops with extended evening and weekend hours, giving customers the flexibility to pick up their parcels when it suits their schedule’.

Daniel Carrera, EMEAI president at UPS, commented: “Through our new Saturday service, we’re giving greater flexibility to businesses.

“It marks another step in our strategy to make logistics a competitive advantage for our customers by providing them with more options to ship than ever before.”
